I'm Brahman. I live in India, where the mornings are generous. I make art with words — small poems, essays, observations. Everything else follows from that.
I believe in simple living, which is not the same as living small. I dislike complication, and I have never been good at wanting what the world tells me to want. Joy, taken seriously, is most of the practice.
Noticing turns out to be useful everywhere — a classroom, a balance sheet, a policy brief all get better when someone looks closely and says things plainly. That is the thread through everything below.
